BAF is an open and public organization that has been hosting a variety of events since 2001 including international design competitions,
academic conferences and lectures, workshops, exhibitions, events, and research service projects in order to seek and implement the ways to
develop the architecture and city environment of Busan with the participation of architecture people and interested citizens.

History
  • Feb. 15, 2001. Confirmed plans to launch BIACF
  • Apr. 21, 2001. Formed the Promotion Committee
  • Jul. 15, 2003. Held the initiator meeting of the Organizing Committee
  • Sep. 6. 2003. Received establishment approval of BAF Organizing Committee as an incorporated body (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism)
  • Nov. 18, 2003. Held the inaugural assembly of BAF Organizing Committee
    - Held BIACF events every year since 2001
    - Held Comprehensive Exhibition & Events every other year since 2012
